The runestone Sö 281 was found in Strängnäs cathedral where it was used as a doorstep. When it was found in 1863, it was instead incorporated into the church wall.
Neither the runemaster nor the original position of Sö 281 is known.

Translation
“(Someone) had the monument made in memory of … Ulv’s brother. They in / to the east … with Ingvar in Serkland.”
